Choosing a machine

Cabinet format

Freestanding machines like the Onyx are easy for customers to find and need floor space. Countertop ATMs are smaller but need a sturdy counter or stand; ask in your quote whether one is available for your layout.

Transaction demand and cash capacity

A busier location empties a cassette faster. On the Onyx, the difference between one 1,000-note cassette and up to four 2,000-note cassettes is mostly about how often you'll need to reload.

Location layout

Plan for the cabinet's footprint, room for a customer to stand at it privately, a floor that carries its weight, and a power outlet within reach.

Connectivity

Every ATM needs a connection to approve transactions. Genmega lists dial-up and Ethernet for the Onyx. Check what your location has, and ask about connectivity in your quote.

Cash loading

As the owner, you arrange cash loading: you load the machine yourself or pay a service to do it. Either way, the cash in the machine is money your business sets aside, so plan for how much a busy day needs.

Processing

ATMs bought from us run on our processing, which is required and free. You keep 100% of the surcharge. ATM processing explains what processing covers.

For your quote

  • Where the ATM would go, and whether floor space or counter space suits it better
